National Flower
The Butterfly Jasmine, though not indigenous to Cuba, is the most popular flower. It serves as a symbol of the purity and rebelliousness of the Cuban character during the National Independence Wars. Cuban women would use it during the years of the Independence Wars to send messages to the battlefield.
